INSPECTED BY: _____________________ STATUS: [ ] READY

In boutique hospitality, a guest's first impression of their room sets the tone for their entire stay. A structured checklist ensures that whether a room is cleaned by a veteran housekeeper or a new hire, the baseline standard remains exactly the same. Keep copies on housekeeping carts, or use a digital room readiness board to track completion in real-time.

Reset the room consistently

Work through entry, ventilation, linen, bathroom, guest supplies, surfaces, floor, fixtures and final presentation in a repeatable order.

Separate cleaning from inspection

A completed clean should move to an inspection state before the room is marked ready. Record defects and missing items rather than relying on verbal follow-up.

Connect readiness to arrivals

Prioritise rooms against expected arrivals and accessibility or setup requirements. Give front desk a shared status instead of asking housekeeping for repeated updates.
